Bimota announced at EICMA 2011 that the company will work with Ruben Xaus on something they have called The "Bimota Experience". We presume this involves some track time with Xaus at Bimota's home circuit, Misano.
Bimota launched their latest creation which is the Rimini firms take on the Hypermotard with a similar engine from Ducati producing a claimed 100 horsepower. It only shares the air-cooled L-twin with the Ducati and you'll find the trademark Bimota trellis frame and swing arm found on other Bimota's such as the DB5 and partly on the Tesi 3D. Dry weight is a claimed 168kg and the fuel tank holds 13.5 litres. The name chosen in Bimotard is pretty clever and it had to come at some point! As we keep mentioning the model name DB10 stands for the 10th model Bimota builds over a Ducati engine.
2012 DB9 Brivido
The DB9 is a naked DB8 basically which involves a 1198 Testastretta II engine of 160hp @9.500rpm (162 and 168CV claimed in press releases but also 119Kw which we are using until somebody tells us we're wrong) distributed on a claimed 177kg dry weight. The claimed torque is 128Nm @8.000 rpm.
