2007 CCM SR40 Street Scrambler

The British manufacturer of fresh looking single cylinder four stroke models is back with two new bikes at the 2006 bike show in Birmingham, UK. The first is a retro styled street scrambler based on CCM's classic offroad bikes from the 70's and 80's. The SR40 features the 400cc power plant from Suzuki that also powers all other CCM models at the moment. The swingarm is tubular, front wheel 21inch whilst a 18inch wheel sits at the back, 400cc engine with electric start, polished tank with rubber inset knee-guards, Brembo brakes, twin Hagon rear shocks and a Paioli front fork. All very retro from the Bolton  (Greater Manchester) based manufacturer.

2007 CCM CR40 Cafe Racer

CR40S & CR40

The new 400cc Cafe Racer is a tribute to the 1981 TT winning CCM ridden by Steve Tompkins. CCM will launch both a naked and a faired version in Birmingham. Norton

2007 Norton NRV-588 Rotary Racer Norton these days are better known for anti-virus protection. However, the National motorcycle museum in Birmingham have done a one-off revival of the famous motorcycle brand. Norton (National motorcycle museum special) Ron and Leon Haslam will not be riding the bike, but added some racing heritage, not that Norton needed more heritage. The NRV is a one off special that have been finished 10 years after it was started. The National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, England have financed the project and Brian Crighton (Motorcycle restorer and previous Norton employee) have been the driving force. As the museum rarely would be involved in new projects, this is a very special special indeed. The NRV will be raced to or three times in 2007 in Britain and will then find its place in the museum. Details: 588cc twin rotor Wankel, fuel injected. Electric water pump ducted fan air-cooling for rotors, fly by wire throttle. 170bhp @ 11.500rpm, twin spar aluminium frame by Spondon, Ohlins fork and Ohlins long-stroke single sided rear shock, AP racing radial callipers, Dymag 16,5 inch wheels, carbon fibre body work and 130kg dry weight. Royal Enfield

It's all about looks and watered-out heritage. A bit like a fetish perhaps looking at the lady that loves Royal Enfield's. The burlesque looking lady actually rides a Royal Enfield and loves it! Bullet Electra and XS Roadster was launched for the UK market.

BMW

BMW brought all the new models from Intermot with them to the NEC. The new stand showcases the new X models, but we also found the brutal HP2 Megamoto and K 1200 R Sport on the BMW stand. BMW from the INTERMOT show. BMW from the EICMA show.

The BSB boys were posing over the new higher tech GSX-R1000. Suzuki GB also announced at the show that they will build three limited edition GSX-R TT centenary models in 2007. The bikes will get unique specification and a special colour scheme for the UK market. The TT will be 100 years old next year and we advise to book yer tickets today. Suzuki from the INTERMOT show. Suzuki from the EICMA show.

Yamaha

We like that new R1 and that's why we have photographed it again. The 2007 FZ6S Fazer Phase (S)2 actually looks a little bit different now that we have had the chance to see it twice. Yamaha from the INTERMOT show. Yamaha from the EICMA show.
