Honda has launched two bikes they call automatic super sport (E4-01) and automatic super cruiser concept (DN-01) Details will follow. What we know is that the DN-01 is a 680cc V-twin and the E4-01 a scooter with 903cc.

We have also seen a CBR1000RR with solid red colour and no decals. Here is that photo.

Honda DN-01 * (DN stands for Dream New and 01 needs no explanation)

TOKYO, Japan, October 19, 2005 - At the 39th Tokyo Motor Show 2005, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. today introduced a large-size sports motorcycle concept model, DN-01*, equipped with a continuously variable automatic transmission and a water-cooled, 4-stroke, OHC, V-type, 2-cylinder, 680cc engine. Honda will continue the development of DN-01 with the goal of introducing it to the market in the near future.

The newly adopted hydraulic mechanical continuously variable HFT (Human Fitting Transmission) system features two types of full automatic modes as well as a 6-speed manual mode which the rider operates through buttons located on the handle. Moreover, this is the first hydraulic mechanical continuously variable transmission system in the world to be equipped with a lock-up mechanism, which improves the fuel efficiency while offering a smooth ride without feeling the shock normally associated with gear shifts, even when cornering. With the HFT, the DN-01 achieves more easy-to-operate and comfortable riding than currently available sports model motorcycles.

Yamaha is launching a range of concept bikes. Gen-Ryo, Maxam 3000 and FC-ME is two of them. Yamaha also premiered a future V-max.

The rear tail unit is not yet finished and this bike is not ready for production just yet. The tail unit has been moulded from one sheet of metal. And check out those six-pot radial callipers around petal discs! That is sexy!

Suzuki is showing only one concept model and that is the 6-cylinder Stratosphere we have reported on in the News section. Stratosphere is a fully functional model that has been developed on Suzuki's various test tracks. If you visit the Suzuki Japan site you can hear how it sounds like and see a movie as well. Of interesting totally useless facts is that the bike has keyless ignition and a camera mounted between the four diode headlights so that you can watch your rides at home with a cold beer.  We have added logo's around the camera lens.

Suzuki is also premiering a 400cc version of the GSR. This is most likely a Japan only model, but new it is nevertheless. GSR400 is the first small streetfighter with 180/55 rear tyre and fuel injection. It gives more fuel to the fact there must be a jumbo King GSR as well. Another even smaller Suzuki new bike that has been world premiered in Tokyo is the scooter Sky Wave 250 S Type.

In one of the photos you can see the new white coloured Hayabusa as well. Still the same old, but white...

Ducati Japan showed the new Monster S2R 1000DS and being Japan also a Monster 400. Milan is still going to be the place to be for the new bikes.
